One-on-One Meditation

There are many qi practitioners, but, a surprising number of them are not able to sense qi even after many years of practice. It is thought that the methods used have a strong influence upon this sensitivity. Our body functions as an energetic conductor, therefore, so long as we are alive and breathing, we, all of us, should be able to sense qi, simple as that.

The hands are most sensitive points for entry and exit of qi into and out of the body, along with the feet and the crown chakra at the top of the head. The flow of qi is easiest to sense through the hands. Only between 10-20% of people are sensitive enough to feel qi naturally, the remainder of people need the assistance of professionals to open their chakras and meridians to open up to the qi energy.

Your Qigong Master, Maggie will be actively involved in the development of your practice. Initially, your Sushumna (spine line) will be opened and activated using a powerful form of qi, this will have the effect of strengthening and widening your main qi highway. Following this, she will guide you through the opening and activation of the rest of your meridian system.

This is the most efficient method in terms of time and effort to advance your practice without experiencing unwanted side effects that may occur through improper practice.

The hands-on program used by qigong meditation practitioners has been secretly handed down over time from the Silla Dynasty in ancient Korea. It has been used by select members of a privileged society called *Hwarang in order to assume leadership roles.

Life Cartography

Let’s see the very first thing that you do on reaching any foreign shores. You pull out your mobile phone, or handheld device and check for internet services. You immediately google for the map of the region you are visiting. Yes, you want to be properly oriented to the layout and then aligned to your purpose of visit, available time, and budget, you plan your activities. As such, it is essential to check out the local weather because though you may have packed in line with the weather forecasts, this check will underpin your transportation means and the schedule. Moreover, the journey would be more memorable and delightful when you have acquainted yourself with the area-wise local specialties and seasonal activities. On the same lines, good cartography constitutes an essential element of any journey. Google Maps are today the go-to solution for any query to help travelers be better informed on many more accurate regional details beyond just directions and locations.

In the olden times, for thousands of years, several different methods were used by our ancestors in practicing accurate mapping for life. The Eastern philosophy of Yin and Yang and the five elements form the core of these methods.

According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms (三國志), one of the greatest military strategists in history – Zhuge Liang was the master of life maps. He led Liu Bei's military to win a series of major battles since he joined the troops and contributed with his specialist skills. He used a host of tactics that accounted for perfect execution timing and these form the identity of his legendary war strategies. Liu Bei was able to establish a country called Shu Han (蜀漢) with the help of Zhuge Liang and presently Shu Han (蜀漢) is around the Sichuan (四川) area in China.

Since our first breath, life furnishes us with a map and a user manual containing specifications pertaining to life. These specifications define the foundational codes that are the building blocks of the general map on the terrain in line with the current time. Thus, the next routes are recommended based on the resultant environment and patterns that are founded on the current specifications. Furthermore, the weather and seasonality of the areas that may be traversed by you during the journey of future life underscore the formulation of futuristic timing and strategies.

Irrespective, many-a-times we lose our way and deviate from the course of our paths. We follow the mirage that appears as a superhighway, leading us nowhere. Or we may get perennially stuck in a maze or a much deeper and wider that may appear to be just a passing phase or shallow waters on the outside.

At such times, we need to call a timeout and draw ourselves a new plan!

Qigong Self Healing Meditation

Ancient scientifically driven wisdom states that the inefficient flow of Qi around the meridian system leads to all physical diseases. Other contributing factors include genetic disposition, stress, unhealthy environments amongst others. Extended exposure to an unhealthy environment causes the weakest part of our meridian system to collapse first and consequently, the connected organs start to malfunction. Irrespective of the medical and technological advancements, it can be challenging for us to regain optimum health after experiencing disease in this day and age. At the end of each day, ideally, we need to release the stress and toxins built-up during the day to remain in a prime state of health. Who, in reality, is able to do this?

Maggie instrumentalizes Qigong self-healing to focus on mental as well as physical improvements in the body. Western medical practice is yet to recognize and accept the meridian system. Even though, other aligned modalities, including acupuncture and Qi healing are today considered legitimate healing practices. These practices involving the use of meridian systems due to their non-invasive nature are welcomes with empirical evidence of successful treatments of a variety of mental and physical ailments. You can assist your body in its ability to heal itself and increase your overall well-being with the use of Qi.

Similarly, Qigong self-healing practice can emerge as miraculous healings for some 'incurable' diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Stroke, ALS, etc., which have defeated modern medicine. The process usually entails two methods:

(i) The healer works on healing a patient,

(ii) The healer harnesses the energy to use on themselves through Qi meditation

Thus, holistically, Maggie aims the practitioners to be able to develop expertise in qi self- healing in becoming the healers of their own body and mind.

What is the relationship between qi and disease?

Considering that dark damp environments cause and manifests as disease, these germs are killed by the light of the Qi energy. Thus, blocked meridians are causal factors for disease and with Qi energy sunlight, a particular meridian is opened and strengthened, which in turn, eradicates germs. In addition, cleared and strengthened meridian systems increase your immunity to fight off diseases. Also, the body benefits furthermore with strengthened chakras.

I had a chance encounter (or perhaps that more appropriate term is fated encounter) with Maggie in the early part of 2018. I began that year out of a job, and when we did our first meditation together I was recently out of the hospital as well: less than whole in more ways than one. Months later, what began with the appearance of randomness led to a very much intentioned phone call, thereby bringing Maggie into my sphere as life coach, therapist and ultimately a guide, a position appropriately termed as “Life Cartographer.” From a constant state of generally directionless neuroticism, Maggie’s careful and nuanced guidance helped get my life back on a path much more in line with my truer nature, ethical value system and in recognition of my need for the spiritual, and she stayed close enough to nudge me back on when I would begin to lose my way. In 2019, I find myself thriving in many ways, and not just meerly surviving through the day to day and week to week, and for this I owe no small debt of gratitude to her.

I have been to many spiritual counselors, clairvoyants, shamans, and life coaches over the span of 25 years. I had sought advice about how to survive some downtimes in life and about my life fortunes.
